Urban garden as a water reservoir in an urban area – a literature review

The aim of the presented work was to show that contemporary researchers recognize potential urban gardening in improving retention, and scientific literature mentions specific problems-indicators retention can be useful for developing guidelines authorities gardeners on management development gardens, such as allotments community considering their role a tool. In this study, meta-analysis peer-reviewed articles from popular databases Web Sciences, Science Direct, Springer MDPI performed, which was, besides analysis, main method research. Definitions garden indicators were developed, are: rainwater/stormwater infrastructure (collecting rainwater water – special infrastructure); watering systems (system providing strait plants); planting type (garden plants: flowers, vegetables, fruits, herbs beds no turf: lawn or turf with dicotyledonous plants). most frequent groups also identified. study analyzed distribution surveyed between continents, noting overrepresentation North America absence South America.
